Beginning in 1928, the Exhibit Supply Company of Chicago changed the format of its baseball cards, electing to include four players on each card - each of the four players being teammates.  This practice would continue for the entire decade.  The "four-on-one" cards would be printed in a wide range of color combinations of black, brown and blue ink on blue, orange, green, red, white and yellow backgrounds.  Most backs remained uncolored, however, in some rare occasions cards have been found with red or yellow backs.  The 1929-30 issue contained 32 different cards, with postcard backs.

Presented here is a red-tineted example featuring Hall of Famers Grover Cleveland Alexander, Frankie Frisch, and Jim Bottomley, along with their Cardinals teammate James Wilson.  Graded EX 5 by SGC, the card exhibits light surface wear and some very mild edge chipping, along with some uneven toning on the reverse.
