The 1921 Exhibits issue is the first in several decades of postcard-sized baseball cards, primarily sold in penny arcade vending machines.  The cards feature black and white photos, the 64-card set including four players from each of the 16 major league teams.  While some of the cards have white borders, others do not, though all have blank backs.  This auction includes an assortment of 1921 Exhibits, some graded and consigned from the collection of a long-time hobbyist, and others fresh to the hobby from a family collection.

Higher-grade card of "Greasy" Neale, who batted .357 in the 1919 World Series.  Neale also played professional football between 1917 and 1919, simultaneously serving as head football coach with a number of different colleges both during and after his baseball career, compiling a career record of 82-54-11.  In 1941, Neale began to coach the Philadelphia Eagles, where he remained between 1941 and 1950, winning two NFL championships in 1948 and 1949.  Neale was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1969.
