Topps unleashed a lengthy set of "Punch-Outs" that may have actually seen two printings, one early in the 1967 season and one a little bit later in the year but that didn't pump up the production numbers by much on this regional test that saw issue primarily, the hobby lore goes, in and around Baltimore. With a design drawing upon illegal, albeit low value games of chance seen in prior decades, the 1967 Punch-Outs were designed to be destroyed as the game was played and that's what happened to this Roberto Clemente card, hence the "Authentic" designation on the flip. Clemente was one of a handful of subjects that had two backgrounds used for their small head shots.  Neither is abundant - the Stadium background is presented here - and this card has been graded only 7 times in any grade by PSA.
