The 1912 Boston Red Sox won the American League pennant and proceeded to defeat the New York Giants in the World Series an eight-game affair that included a tie and a near riot on the part of Boston's Royal Rooters whose customery seats on Duffy's Cliff were sold to other fans. Presented is a beautiful example of the 1912 Photo Art Shop postcard featuring the 1912 team including Hall of Famers Tris Speaker and Harry Hooper along with stars Smoky Joe Wood, Duffy Lewis, Buck O'Brien, and Hugh Bedient. Graded VG-EX 4 by PSA the card exhibits rounded corners that account for the grade otherwise in outstanding condition with a beautiful image and very little wear.
