Red Sox favorite Carl Yastrzemski was still a year away from his major league debut when Topps captured him as part of their Rookie Star subset in 1960. Topps period-centering explains the SGC 5 grade but what that doesn't tell you is that this example is free from the obverse black ink spray that plagues so many of these rookie cards and is prevalent enough that you would think they were designed that way. As a result, the orange background is fresh and bright, with young Yaz shining through.
