Original 5" x 7" Goodwin & Co. glass plate negative emanating from the "Vermont Find." First baseman Alex McKinnon is depicted in a batting pose with the Pittsburgh Alleghenys of the National League. This image served as the source material for McKinnon's N172 Old Judge card numbered 315-3. A high-quality image with sharp fine details, though the lower-left corner of the glass is missing and heavy chipping is present along right edge with emulsion loss. Light cracking is also present to the glass at top-right. A paper label with handwritten notations is affixed to both sides of negative along top edge.
