Please note an error in our previous description for these cards - which we had correct in our printed catalog but then "corrected" with an erroneous description here.  An astute collector pointed this out, and we confirmed it with a consultation with our friend Tim Newcomb's excellent article on the set, which appeared in the Spring, 2006 issue of Old Cardboard.  

Presented here are nine R314 "Type 4" cards, also called R314-C "Creamy" Wide Pens from the 1937 issue of Goudey Premiums.  The collection includes Elbie Fletcher, Gus Galan, Mel Harder, Gabby Hartnett (HOF), Carl Hubbell (HOF), Hal Trosky, Joe Vosmik, Earl Averill, and Hank Greenberg (HOF). Surface of all cards are clean aside from Vosmik who suffers from a large center crease. There are various stages of wear to the corners and Greenberg, Hartnett, Hubbell, Trosky, and Vosmik display signs of paper loss and small pencil notations on the backs. GD-VG+ across the collection.
