Produced by Los Angeles confectioner Bishop & Company, the card issue classified as E100 features black and white player images on a variety of color backgrounds, each subject a player in the Pacific Coast League.  The cards are found in one of two varieties - the "Type 1" issue features a small projection image and a player checklist on the reverse, with background colors of blue, green, red, purple or yellow.  The more scarce "Type 2" issue features a larger projection image, blank backs, and with background colors of only orange or green.  The images in the Type 2 series are mirrored images of the Type 1 cards.

The key card in either set is undoubtedly that of Buck Weaver, banned from baseball due to the "Black Sox" scandal during the 1919 World Series.  Weaver batted .324 in the Series and claimed innocence, but was banned for having knowledge of the plan and not advising team or league officials.  Though his career ended prematurely as a result, Weaver remains immensely popular among collectors, his cards approaching values similar to many Hall of Famers of the era.

The card has been graded FAIR 1.5 by Beckett, some small but visible staining noticeable at various points on the card, most notably at the top right edge.  Overall eye appeal is exceptional, however, with a rich, green background, strong centering and bright, white borders.  Some surface wear is evident upon close inspection.

This card is incredibly rare.  We are aware of the existence of just three graded examples of E100 Weavers of the Type 2 variety, with just one becoming available for public sale in the last seven years.  The most prized of all Weaver's cards, from a rare PCL-only issue.
