Remarkable grouping of six Type 1 photos featuring the Philadelphia Athletics, all of which served as the source images for baseball cards (cards shown for illustration purposes only and are not included). Group contains: Hank Gowdy (E120, 1921 Exhibits), Bob Hasty (E120), Rollie Naylor (E120, 1921 Ehibits), Cy Perkins (1921 Exhibits), Ed Rommel (misidentified as Scott Perry, E220), Maurice Shannon (E220). All photos present exceptionally well with some corner creasing scattered throughout the group, mostly within the white borders. There is some waviness to the top and bottom edges which is consistent with news service photos of the era. Hasty, Rommel, and Shannon have full paper tags on verso and all exhibit International stamping identifying them as the issuing service. These photos are fresh to the hobby and originate from the archives of Photo File, Inc. where they have been stored for several decades until this offering.
