The Great Plains Greats set was a collectors' issue, distributed in two series in conjunction with shows that were sponsored by the Great Plains Sports Collectors' Association in 1975 and 1976.  Each card features a black and white player photo, set inside a colorful border.  The reverse includes biographical information on each player, along with a sponsorship ad (either Sheraton inns or the Nu-Sash Corp, depending on whether the cards were issued in 1975 or 1976).  This grouping of cards originates from the collection of Ted Patterson, a Baltimore sportscaster and advanced collector who accumulated a massive collection over the course of several decades before passing last year.  Each of these cards were signed by the respective player, most likely in person, as Patterson's livelihood gave him regular access to players and major league clubhouses.

Each of the ten encapsulated cards has had its signature authenticated and graded by PSA/DNA, and encapsulated by PSA without a grade assigned to the card.  Our description of grades below applies to the autograph.  Included are: #1 Bob Feller (HOF) PSA EX-MT 6; #2 Carl Hubbell (HOF): PSA GEM MINT 10; #3 Jocko Conlan (HOF): PSA NM 7; #6 Burleigh Grimes (HOF): PSA GEM MINT 10; #18 Roger Maris: PSA NM-MT 8; #22 Yogi Berra (HOF): PSA MINT 9; #32 Red Schoendienst (HOF): PSA MINT 9; #34 Harvey Kuenn: PSA GEM MINT 10; #36 Roy Sievers: PSA NM-MT 8; #37 Ken Boyer: PSA GEM MINT 10.

It should be noted that this grouping actually includes 11 cards, as a card of "Cool Papa Bell" was rejected by PSA due to questionable authenticity (regarding the signature, not the card).
