The oversized M101-6 cards issued between 1917 and 1920 by published Felix Mendelsohn are among the most beautiful photographic cards of their era.  Measuring 4 1/2" x 6 1/2", the cards have long been scarce, but demand has increased exponentially in recent years, likely due to the advent of grading company holders large enough to accommodate the cards.  Though complete sets were advertised in the Sporting News at 100 cards for $5, more than 110 different subjects have now been confirmed, along with several team variations.  Today, Hall of Famers from the issue are in particularly high demand.  Beautiful card of Tris Speaker, graded GOOD+ 2.5 by SGC due to a lower-right corner crease, not uncommon due to the propensity for damage due to their large size.  Corners are lightly rounded, the image quality very clear.
