The Exhibit Supply Company began experimenting with 4-in-1 cards in 1925, ultimately issuing cards in this format for several years in the 1920s and 30s.  A small group of nine cards were issued as part of the first group, beginning with a grouping of mixed subjects (baseball players and either boxers or entertainers), followed by a group containing four baseball players.  All nine of the different cards are particularly difficult, though the mixed-subject groups are more rare.  As more of an experiment, cards from the issue have been found with a multitude of backs types, including blank, postcard, or postcard with a coupon.  Presented here is one of the four baseball player examples, featuring Lefty O'Doul, Dazzy Vance (HOF), Hugh Critz and Art Shires.  Clearly in POOR condition, the postcard-backed card is desirable for its rarity, as it is quite difficult to find in any grade and is highly coveted by advanced collectors.
