The oversized M101-6 cards issued between 1917 and 1920 by publisher Felix Mendelsohn are among the most beautiful photographic cards of their era.  Measuring 4 1/2" x 6 1/2", the cards have long been scarce, but demand for the cards has increased exponentially in recent years, likely due to the advent of grading company holders large enough to accommodate the cards.  Though complete sets were advertised in the Sporting News at 100 cards for $5, more than 110 different subjects have now been confirmed, along with several team variations.  Strong example featuring Brooklyn pitcher Jeff Pfeffer, graded VG-EX 4 by PSA with an MK qualifier addressing the handwriting of Pfeffer's birthday and location, which has been written on the reverse.  Strong corners and edges with a largely clean surface, a beautiful card from a scarce issue.
