One of Charles Conlon's more recognizable images, this photo features Ginger Beaumont posed in the outfield at the Polo Grounds during 1910. Here we get a great look at not only Beaumont's ill-fitting Cubs uniform (he only ever appeared in 76 games for them, all during the final season of his career) but a fantastic glimpse of his fielders glove as he stretches for an imaginary ball. Photo measures 8" x 10" and suffers from chipping along the edges with heavier chipping to 3 of the 4 corners. Verso includes TWO different Charles Conlon stamps, along with Conlon's handwritten identification of Beaumont. "Ginger Beaumont" is also written in what appears to be modern ballpoint pen. Photo is fresh to the hobby and originates from the archives of Photo File, Inc. where it has been stored for several decades until this offering.
