Designed to be a showcase for University of Washington back George "Wildcat" Wilson, the Los Angeles Wildcats began with the formation of the American Football League in 1926.  The league would play for just one season, 1926, before its demise with the final game on December 12, 1926.  Just a few weeks later, the Wildcats would square off against the first place Hollywood Generals of the Pacific Coast Football League in a game at Wrigley Field in Los Angeles, a game that would wind up a 28-7 victory for the Wildcats.  The Wildcats roster included Hall of Famer Red Flaherty, a star for the club.  The official Generals program is well-worn, with some brittle paper separating and splitting at the spine, and some rust marks from the staples themselves.  Some creasing is evident, mostly vertical creasing from folds that have long since flattened.  A few stray stains are evident, as are some marks from paper clips.  Fading handwriting can be observed in the lower-left corner.   A tremendous early program.
