Beautiful 6" x 8" original Type 1 News Service photo, dating to 1941, of the Splendid Splinter.  Encapsulated and authenticated as Type 1 by PSA/DNA, the slug still attached to the reverse refers to Joe DiMaggio's hitting streak and Ted's .400 season alike, describing Williams as being "built like an exclamation point."  Build notwithstanding, Williams was one of the greatest hitters ever to play, and this photo of him during what may have been his finest season is quite striking.
