One of the only full-color national card issues produced during the war, the 1943 MP & Co. issue featured illustrated images that only remotely resembled the images in photos of players of the era.  The set became even further removed from reality in 1949, when the identical images were revived for a new set, with new player names inserted in some of the text areas.  Presented here is a single strip featuring Hall of Famers Ted Williams and Lou Boudreau, along with Nippy Jones and Al Kozar.  The piece has been professionally matted and framed with a glass back to permit viewing of the strip.  Though the condition appears strong, paper loss and remnants can be seen on the reverse, reducing the technical grade to FAIR, despite our inability to examine the edges due to the matting.
