Professionally-matted collection of materials related to the Nabisco Shredded Wheat baseball ring, one of the most difficult and desirable of all baseball rings.  Available as a premium from Nabisco, the ring was obtained by mailing in a coupon with 15 cents and a box top from Nabisco Shredded Wheat.  Constructed of a gold metallic substance with a plastic batter at the top, hitting a small, plastic baseball mounted on a piece of rigid wire.  The ring is extraordinarily delicate, and as such is quite difficult to find intact.  Presented here is a professionally-matted display featuring the ring, its original shipping box, redemption coupon and instructions on how to make the batter hit the ball, along with two advertising reproductions promoting the ring.  The redemption coupon, appears to have been spray mounted onto the paper backing and thus would prove difficult to remove.  The instructions are mounted inside plastic photo corners, and the shipping box appears mounted lightly with adhesive of some sort.  The ring itself has also been mounted with some type of string holding it in place.  The paper components of the lot appear in FAIR condition, the box POOR with considerable wear and tearing at the edges and corners.  The ring itself is in outstanding shape, perhaps EX condition.  An interesting display of a difficult-to-find Ted Williams collectible.
