Outstanding cabinet photo of White Stockings infielder Fred Pfeffer, graded FR 1.5 by PSA. Beautiful peach mount with light wear at the edges and corners, and a cris photo that exhibits light foxing, the culprit responsible for the grade is simply a strip of paper loss that appears on the reverse, along with some light tears at one corner of the strip that does not encroach on the front of the card at all. The paper loss is clearly from a small strip of adhesive tape which was likely used to mount the cabinet in a scrapbook. The scrapbook - and the tape - clearly preserved the cabinet well, saving the mount and photo from age-related damage, but did not escape the wrath of the professional graders that reduced the condition to FAIR, based on a strip of adhesive torn away from the back of a piece of blank-backed cardboard.
