The T227 "Series of Champions" cards were issued with Honest Long Cut and Miner's Extra tobacco brands and featured four baseball stars (Cobb, Bender, Baker and Marquard) among the 25-card set that also included other famous athletes.  The oversized (3 3/8" x 2 5/16") cards are prized among collectors, who, despite the small size of the set, still have difficulty completing just the baseball players due to the scarcity and expense.  The cards are typically found in off-grades, likely due to the larger-than-typical size of the issue in comparison with the other tobacco cards of the day.  This example has been graded VG 3 and, relative to the issue, must be considered "higher grade" - despite having graded 89 examples, PSA has graded just 13 higher, only one of which has eclipsed VG (a sole PSA 6).  This example does exhibit some surface wear that has obscured some of Cobb's name at the top right, however, the image quality is strong, one of the finer examples from the issue we have encountered.
