Roger Staubach is one of the most legendary figures in football history.  The winner of the 1963 Heisman Trophy with the United States Naval Academy, Staubach was drafted by the Dallas Cowboys, where he began playing following the fulfillment of his military commitment (and a one-year tour of duty in Vietnam).  As the Cowboys quarterback, Staubach was the winner of two Super Bowls and five NFC Championships, and was a large part of the successful Cowboys franchise of the mid-to-late 1970s that earned the nickname "America's Team."  It is this legend that has resulted in Staubach's 1972 Topps "rookie" card being one of the most important and valuable football cards of the modern era.  This example originates from a fresh collection, pulled from packs and immediately stored away.  The color and clarity of the card is extraordinary, some light corner touches from handling, along with a slight centering issue being the only noteworthy condition flaws.
