The 1934 R310 Butterfinger Premium cards are extremely condition sensitive, printed on very lightweight paper, lighter than newsprint.  The cards are susceptible to tears, folds, edge chips, wrinkles, and all manner of other condition issues due to their size (approximately 8" x 10") and paper stock.  Even the most dedicated collectors consistently run the risk of damaging an R310 through simple handling.

Enter the monstrous Beckett holder.  Measuring 9 1/2" x 13" and constructed of some sort of rock-hard, space-age polymer, the holders are designed to withstand a nuclear blast and in a pinch can be used as a heavy-duty construction material, should you run out of steel.  Certainly strong enough to house a Butterfinger premium in such a way that it will never again be damaged, which is how these three examples are entombed.  The collection includes Jim Bottomley (VG+ 3.5), Bucky Harris (GOOD 2) and Waite Hoyt (GOOD 2), with more visible condition issues with the Hoyt than the others.  Three cards total, plus ten pounds of plastic.
