Well-centered high-grade example of the most important baseball card of the 1960s, the rookie card of future Hall of Famer Nolan Ryan.  Ryan broke in with the 1966 Mets, where he appeared in two games, finally sticking with the team in 1968.  He would remain in New York for four years, struggling with his control and surrendering a lot of home runs, but immediately put things together upon his trade to the California Angels, where he would shine from 1972 through 1979.  Stints with the Astros and Rangers cemented his legacy, as he became the all-time strikeout leader, throwing a record seven no-hitters and becoming one of the most popular players of his era.
