Seldom-seen 1913 postcard depicting the Giants outside their quarters during Spring Training of the 1913 season.  The postcard has been graded VG 3 by SGC, conservatively, with some light wear and a very light surface wrinkle visible on the reverse.  In addition to Hall of Famers John McGraw, Wilbert Robinson and Christy Mathewson, the postcard is noteworthy due to its inclusion of Olympian and Football Hall of Famer Jim Thorpe.  The early issue of this postcard makes it likely that it is one of Thorpe's earliest baseball cards, yet due to its scarcity is rarely considered in the conversation of Thorpe's baseball rookie cards.  Regardless of whether one would consider a postcard - or a team postcard - a "rookie card," this is an interesting and tough to find baseball card the Giants, including one of the earliest cardboard appearances of Jim Thorpe in a baseball uniform.
